One Minute Portraits
Following on from her Falling Bodies series of photographs comes Annette Habel's Being There project. Have your portrait taken in a special booth at Kaleid.
The portraits will be taken via one-minute-long photographic exposures. Each sitter will be asked to sit absolutely still. As this is near impossible the resulting small blurs in the images, caused by breathing and tiny shifts in posture, record the passage of time and provide a special interest. Such time-based portraits often carry a revelatory quality because of the sitter’s struggle to remain composed during the long exposure.
Each sitter will receive by email a copy of their portrait.
